Australia PR Points System

Points are awarded based on multiple factors.

1. Age Points

• 18–24 years - 25 points
• 25–32 years - 30 points
• 33–39 years - 25 points
• 40–44 years - 15 points

2. English Proficiency

• Competent - 0 points
• Proficient - 10 points
• Superior - 20 points

3. Work Experience (Outside Australia)

• 3–5 years - 5 points
• 5–8 years - 10 points
• 8+ years - 15 points

4. Education

• Diploma - 10 points
• Bachelor - 15 points
• Master/PhD - 20 points

5. Australian Study (Optional)

• Additional points if studied in Australia

6. Spouse Points

• Skilled spouse - 10 points
• English spouse - 5 points

7. State Nomination

• Subclass 190 - +5 points
• Subclass 491 - +15 points

• Minimum 65 points required
• Recommended score - 70 to 85+

Education = 15 points
